If you are an owner-occupier or a private tenant living in South Yorkshire, North East Derbyshire or North Notts we can offer cavity wall insulation and loft insulation to many households COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE.
How do I qualify?
The Government requires all of the fuel utilities to offer home insulation to owner-occupier and private-rented households, through the CERT programme.
This work is completely free of charge if you, or any member of your household, are aged 70+ or are in receipt of a qualifying benefit.
Qualifying benefits include:
* Income-based Job-Seekers Allowance,
* Employment Support Allowance,
* Attendance Allowance,
* Disability Living Allowance,
* Council-Tax Benefit (not the 25% single person reduction),
* Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit (in both cases your income needs to be below £16,190pa, or about £310 per week, before the tax credit is added)
* and certain War Pensions.

What help is available?
Our Scheme is part of the Governments' "Carbon Emissions Reduction Target" - CERT - programme, that provides cavity wall insulation and loft insulation to all owner-occupier and private-rented households. It will help you to reduce your heating bills, make your home warmer and more comfortable and do "your bit" for the environment, and future generations, by reducing the amount of energy that you use and carbon dioxide that your home produces.
Most homes built after the mid-1920s (and some before) are suitable for cavity wall insulation. A simple drill-test will tell us if yours is one of them. To qualify for extra loft insulation any existing loft insulation must be less than 65mm (about 2.5") thick.
Since the Energy Saving Trust states that a typical 3-bedroom semi-detached house, heated by gas, could save around £310-00 worth of heat a year by having these measures installed you should contact us today for your free survey and find out what you are entitled to!
What if I don't qualify
Firstly, if you don't qualify for the free insulation our survey will have cost you nothing. Secondly our Surveyor will be able to advise you on the measures that would be suitable for your home, some of which you could do yourself, to make it warmer and more energy efficient. Lastly we have a second grant scheme, available to all owner-occupiers irrespective of age or income, that will pay up to 70% of the cost of installing insulation measures in your home, meaning that any work will often pay for itself in little more than 1 year.
